Welcome to the Mininera & District Netball Association

Acknowledgement of Country

Our Association covers a vast area with our competition held on the lands of the Wadawurrang, Eastern Maar & Gunditjmara people, and the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagalk Nations.

We wish to acknowledge them as Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we compete.

We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging and the Aboriginal Elders of other communities who may be a part of our Association.

We recognise the tremendous contribution that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people make to sport, in particular to netball in Victoria. We acknowledge the power of netball to promote reconciliation, enhance belonging and reduce inequality.

Our Commitment to Child Safety

Every person in the netball community has a responsibility to understand their role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care.

Netball Victoria, the Mininera & District Netball Association and it's affiliated clubs are committed to promoting and protecting the rights of children and preventing abuse from occurring by fostering a culture where children feel safe and empowered.

We also seek to ensure the cultural safety of First Nations children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and children with a disability.
